Our place
Holly McLeish is a photographic artist from New Zealand, working wherever she happens to find herself.
The work is shaped by travel, curiosity and a need to keep seeing what else is out there.
Primarily working with landscape and place, Holly creates photographic works from the parts of the world that make her stop, look twice, take the long way round — or think, “fuck, look at that.”
The studio produces limited-edition photographic works, private commissions and projects with people, places and brands that give us a good reason to go somewhere.

Commissions
Details
Some places mean more than others.
I take on a small number of private commissions each year, photographing places that hold meaning for the people who commission them.
It might be somewhere you grew up. The beach you return to every summer. A family property. Somewhere on the other side of the world you haven't quite stopped thinking about.
You bring me the place and the story behind it. I bring my perspective.
From there, we'll agree on the location, timing and scope of the commission before I go and find the photograph.
The final work is printed, signed and produced as a physical artwork for you to live with.

Trade
For interiors
I work directly with interior designers, architects and stylists looking to place photographic works in residential and commercial spaces.
Existing works can be produced at scale, and selected projects can be commissioned specifically for a space or location.

Partnerships
Good places. Good people. Good excuses to travel.
I work with a small number of brands, destinations and spaces that feel like a natural fit with the world I'm building.
That might look like travelling somewhere to create a body of work, photographing a hotel or destination through my perspective, creating an artwork or collection together, an installation, an event — or something we haven't thought of yet.
If it feels interesting, I'm interested.
Hospitality
For places worth staying
Hotels are part of how I experience the world, so working with them feels like a pretty natural extension of the work.
I work with hotels, lodges and hospitality spaces to create photographic artwork connected to the places they're in.
This can mean selecting existing works for rooms and shared spaces, creating a commissioned body of work around a property or destination, or developing limited editions guests can take home with them.
Because sometimes the best souvenir isn't a souvenir.
The Work
The studio produces carefully selected photographic works from places I've travelled.
Not every photograph makes it here. That's sort of the point.
Works are produced using archival materials, signed and made in limited quantities.
Some remind you of somewhere you've been.
Others might make you want to go.
